I used your flavors and they taste medicinal, metallic, soapy, artificial, and tastes like pure chemicals, why is that? Am I using your flavors right? How much flavor should I use in my application?

Edited

That's probably because you've over flavored your application. Our flavors are pure, concentrated flavors. You won’t get any watered down flavors from us. Most applications should start with .25% to 1% usage, and up to a maximum of 4% of flavor by total weight. For example, The Flavor Guy used 10g of our alcohol-free extract into a 1000g of water & sugar to make a flavored syrup. That’s 1% of flavor into the total application, and it came out delicious and ready to use for a variety of things from coffee, to snow cones, teas, and more.

The most common reason that people over-flavor their applications is because there is no potentiator. Just as you would add cream & sugar to your coffee, or honey to your teas; you must be sure to add something that would drive the flavor. Without sugar and acidity, an orange wouldn’t taste good, so be sure to add potentiators such as sugar, citric acid for fruit flavors (0.15% is usually a good starting point), or add some fat content.
