Can I use fragrance oil in food or edible products?
Edited
No, never. Fragrance oils are not formulated or tested for ingestion and should never be used in food, beverages, or any product that will be consumed. For any edible application, use a flavor oil, flavor extract, or flavor concentrate that is explicitly intended for food use. This applies even if the fragrance oil and the flavor product share the same scent name — the formulations are fundamentally different, and only the food-grade version is safe to eat.
