A fragrance emulsion is a pre-blended product that keeps oil-based fragrance uniformly dispersed in a water-based system. Since oil and water don't naturally mix, emulsifiers or solubilizers are incorporated into the formula to prevent separation and keep the fragrance evenly distributed throughout the finished product. Fragrance emulsions are most commonly used in water-based applications like body mists, room sprays, and linen sprays where a plain fragrance oil would simply float or separate.
