Are fragrance emulsions the same as flavor emulsions?

Edited

No — and this is an important distinction. Flavor emulsions are formulated for edible products and food manufacturing applications. Fragrance emulsions are formulated for cosmetic and home scent products. The underlying concept of keeping oil dispersed in water is similar, but the ingredients, safety testing, and regulatory considerations are entirely different. Never use a food-grade flavor emulsion in a cosmetic product, or vice versa. Always match the product type to its intended application.
